• Civil engineering background but through focus on project management gravitated to large multi-discipline projects.
• Project manager Duvha and Majuba power stations and later total Eskom capital expansion programme of 20000MW.
• Served on the Civil Engineering Advisory Council.
• Started Eskom’s national Electrification programme and represented Eskom on National Electrification Forum.
• Eskom Executive Director (Technology) responsible for R & D, technical health of the organisation, environmental management and introduction of new technologies such as PBMR.
• First CEO Eskom Enterprises; leading commercialisation of Eskom’s non-core business and establishment of international presence, mainly in Africa and Orient.
• Since 2003 working as international consultant in power generation and distribution. Non-executive director of, and advisor to, multi-national companies.
• Currently mainly working on Mmamabula coal fired power station project in Botswana as technical advisor to CIC Energy Corporation.
